Is Now the Time for Australia?

No, not the movie, which probably didn't help tourism like they had hoped...  Is now the time for your trip down under?  Maybe. New competition from North America to Australia is making it more affordable and more comfortable than ever.  Previously, you had to chose between Qantas and United.  Now, Delta and V Australia are joining the fray with low fares and exceptional service. Qantas has upgraded their offering with the new A380 aircraft.  The reviews are in, and its apparently fantastic.  The new A380 features an exhaustive on-demand system along with sliding seats in coach, giving you more space. V Australia is chiming in on the route with a 777-300 featuring Virgin's typically excellent entertainment options and dining.  Both carriers are offering premium economy - a decent deal for more legroom and recline. United is definitely the underdog, and probably losing money trying to keep up.  Old planes, typical service.  Why fly them?  Maybe for the miles...  Right now, fares with almost no advance purchase are going for $963 RT!  Thats 15,000 miles + the 2x elite miles bonus.  Elite status in one trip! Either way, with the competition, economic downturn and low gas prices, now is definitely the time to consider your trip to Australia. Why not start in Sydney with our 3-day travel guide?
